Get to know Belinda

Belinda has always had a passion for horses from an extremely early age (before walking) and it wasn't any surprise for her family and friends to find her pursuing her passion as a business as an adult.

Belinda made her way up through the ranks in Pony Club in Coonamble and Rawsonville in the central west of NSW, always with amazing support from her family, especially parents John and Narelle.

Belinda enjoyed competition in all areas; dressage, showjumping, eventing and even mounted games, sporting and campdrafting. Belinda competed in many state and national competitions in showjumping and eventing, and then was very lucky and honoured to represent NSW on the Australian team that contested the 1997 Inter-pacific rally in Hong Kong and China, where the Australian team won the Nations Cup.

Belinda always loved both eventing and showjumping, but when a talented Off-track Thoroughbred (Barney) who was on his way to the knackery found his way to Belinda and showed his absolutely amazing aptitude and talent for showjumping, it was this path that was followed more than eventing, although Belinda still enjoys this sport and does get to compete every now and then.

It was through this partnership with "Good Vibrations" (Barney) that Belinda was part of Australian Young rider teams and winner and placegetter in many a largely coveted class across that country, and under the expert tutelage of Colleen Brook, they fulfilled their dream of World Cup competition, competing and placing in the Pacific League of the World Cup Qualifying competitions.

Colleen has long been a mentor of Belinda and still is, beginning from lessons in her hometown of Dubbo, moving on to become a working pupil for Colleen after highschool, and now still an amazing source of knowledge and sounding for Belinda's coaching and riding.

Belinda has competed successfully at World Cup/Grand Prix showjumping level and is a NCAS Level 1 accredited General Coach. Belinda has coaching, training and competition experience in Australia, Europe the UK and the USA. The time spent in the USA was most invaluable, where she spent many years training and coaching with the world's best, including Joe Fargis and Gail Thompson, and also learning about the Hunter circuit.

Belinda coaches many students in the Riverina area and beyond, from beginners to top level showjumpers and eventers. If you would like to become one of the LE team, please see the Contact Us page for details on how to get in touch with Belinda.

Belinda also regularly competes on the Australian showjumping circuit at major shows, with a lovely team of TB and WB horses of different types, ages and sexes; we are now entering our young horse development stage which is very exciting!
